Treated seed is coated with an insecticide or fungicide (chemical or biological) to protect it from soil pests and diseases while it germinates — suitable for conventional growing. Untreated (raw) seed is only cleaned, with no coating or treatment — suitable for chemical-free or no-spray growing. Treated seed is for planting only, never for food, feed, or oil. Our first five varieties are available in both treated and untreated; the remaining three (Aadishri, Runner, ARBGH-158) are untreated only.
